27 de octubre, Mejillones.- Como una forma de apoyar la formación técnico profesional y responder a una alianza con el Instituto Profesional IPG, la Asociación de Industriales de Mejillones (AIM) realizó la entrega de becas renovantes a dieciséis alumnas de nuestra Casa de Estudios con sede en dicha ciudad.
La iniciativa implementada desde el 2019, ha beneficiado a estudiantes con residencia en Mejillones que realizan sus estudios técnicos en la comuna cubriendo hasta el 50% del copago del arancel anual de la carrera cursada. En este caso fueron becadas alumnas de distintas carreras de IPG que estaban en condición de renovantes del año anterior y que cumplieron con los requisitos de notas y asistencia. Al respecto, el Gerente General de AIM, José Robles, manifestó su alegría porque esto representa “el esfuerzo de ellas” enfatizando que “esta beca tiene un sentido humano, el de apoyar a aquel que quiere salir adelante”, indicó.
Por su parte, Susana Pradenas Calderón, Directora de Sede Instituto Profesional IPG sede Mejillones, destacó que “esta ayuda es vital para el proceso de continuidad de estudios de nuestras estudiantes que han sido ahora beneficiadas, y que son renovantes de la beca cumpliendo procesos anteriores con buenos resultados. De otra manera, no podrían costear su educación, y pese a que los aranceles no son muy altos, requiere un doble esfuerzo de las familias al tener que invertir en educación. Por eso agradecemos a la Asociación de Industriales de Mejillones este tremendo aporte que entregan a nuestras alumnas que se están esforzando y respondiendo con un buen rendimiento académico”.
En esta instancia también estuvieron presentes otras autoridades locales como el Alcalde de Mejillones Marcelino Carvajal, los Concejales María Cabello y Manuel Menardes, además de representantes de IPG, quienes valoraron el aporte económico otorgado por AIM y felicitaron a las beneficiadas incitándolas a seguir perfeccionándose.
