Con alegría y solidaridad, la Red de Voluntarios de IPG sede Santiago participa en operativo social para adultos mayores en Cerrillos
Santiago, 05 de octubre de 2023.- Con el propósito de llevar un rayo de alegría y contribuir al bienestar de los adultos mayores de la comuna de Cerrillos, estudiantes de la Escuela de Educación y la Escuela de Salud del Instituto Profesional sede Santiago, se unieron en una loable iniciativa de voluntariado.
En una jornada llena de calidez y empatía, los jóvenes voluntarios ofrecieron servicios de manicure, proporcionaron información relevante en la prevención de enfermedades y llevaron a cabo actividades de memoria para los adultos mayores congregados en la capilla San Enrique de la comuna de Cerrillos. La actividad se convirtió en un grato encuentro que buscaba fomentar la socialización de los adultos mayores, combatiendo la soledad y realzando su importancia en la sociedad.
Silvia Muñoz, coordinadora de la capilla San Enrique, destacó la participación activa de los estudiantes del IPG y el valor de estas actividades en la comunidad. «En el sector residen adultos mayores, donde la capilla es su espacio de compartir; algunos se encuentran solos, por ende, la visita es muy enriquecedora. Nos sentimos considerados y respetados», expresó.
Dirección de Asuntos Estudiantiles (DAE), Marjorie Fuentes, expresó su gratitud por la excelente convocatoria de la red de voluntariado y resaltó la importancia de formar estudiantes de manera integral. «Nuestra misión es formar a los estudiantes no solo en lo académico, sino también en su desarrollo personal, generando un impacto significativo en su futuro laboral», afirmó.
Es relevante destacar que los estudiantes que forman parte de la Red de Voluntarios del IPG asumen un compromiso social y humanista, desempeñando un papel crucial en su formación técnico-profesional. Durante estas actividades, adquieren habilidades sociales, fomentan el liderazgo y fortalecen su sentido de pertenencia a la institución.
La iniciativa de los estudiantes de IPG en Cerrillos representa un hermoso ejemplo de cómo la educación va más allá de las aulas, contribuyendo de manera positiva a la comunidad y demostrando que la solidaridad y el respeto a los adultos mayores son valores fundamentales en nuestra sociedad.
